IMPACT presents:
Right to Pollute: How Corporations Exploit and Destroy the Environment a talk by Kathleen SchulerSunday, August 20th, 3 – 5 pm
Acadia Cafe (Franklin and Nicollet Aves, Mpls)
Corporations internalize profits and externalize costs, with tragic consequences for our environment and for human health. The ramifications of corporate exploitation of natural resources and pollution of the earth are evident in some of the environmental and public health challenges we face today, including global warming, chemical contamination of the human body, and the obesity epidemic. You are invited to participate in a discussion about we can do to reverse our current course towards disaster.
Kathleen Schuler, MPH, is an Environmental Scientist with the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy.
